Fast Fact Friday!

Sometimes I find myself reading the same type of book again and again. One of my favorite things to do when I want to break this cycle is to read some nonfiction. Yesterday, I read about famous shipwrecks in the book Sunken Treasure by Gail Gibbons. I learned that people have been diving for treasure in shipwrecks for hundreds of years, but we have only recently created new technology to help us dive even deeper into the ocean. This helps scientists uncover shipwrecks they never knew existed!! What topics do you like to read about in nonfiction? Do you have a book or goal in mind for nonfiction this summer? Comment below!

  1. I like to read about new interests and hobbies so I can learn more! Sometimes I just read articles online or in magazines, and other times I read books. Recently, I've been reading about plants and gardens. Also, I love reading about new teaching ideas. My goal is to have every other book I read as a nonfiction text. Wish me luck!

  2. I agree with you Miss Bogaert! I am on my third professional book to help me with teaching ideas. I like switching from fiction to nonfiction to train my reading brain to think differently.

    2. One topic I loved to read in nonfiction were titanic tipos, for some reason that topic always seemed interesting to me. A book that I have in mind to read is " What I thought I knew" because it is a memoir and I love memoirs or book about people that they wrote them selves. (AKA A Memoir)-Melanie B.

If you could invite the main character of your book over to your house, what would you do together?
